Mike Patin...Back by popular demand

By Linda Davis
When teens of Pueblo were asked who to have as the presenter for the annual youth festivals it was an overwhelming reply of Mike Patin! Patin has been to Pueblo twice in the past ten years. Many young adults want their younger siblings to experience seeing him in action. Through interaction he uses energy, humor and stories to affirm the goodness of God’s presence among us while inviting others (and himself) to take the “next step” in the journey with God.

The youthful presenter has had the privilege of speaking in over 115 dioceses in the U.S. and Canada, to groups of 10 to 10,000. He has addressed youth, adult and intergenerational audiences in diocesan, regional, national and international settings. He has led youth and adult retreats, parish missions, leadership institutes, and in-services. Audiences have been as diverse as clergy, school faculties, businesses, athletic teams and hospital staffs.

The enthusiastic Mike Patin returns to Pueblo for two youth events in February 2016:

Saturday, February 20 middle school youth are invited to the second annual middle school festival at Holy Family in Pueblo. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the active presentation with Patin at 7 p.m. There will be activities, snacks, pizza and all youth receive a t-shirt. The event will end at 9:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per teen. Chaperones and parents are welcome and free if accompanied by a middle school teen.

The following day (Sunday, February 21) will be the annual high school youth festival at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, 210 North Santa Fe Avenue in Pueblo. Registration is 12:30 p.m. followed by the festival from 1 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will include Mass with Bishop Stephen Berg, Patin’s active presentations, and breakout sessions for teens and adults. Snacks and pizza will be provided this year. The cost is $20 per teen, chaperones and parents are free. Scholarships are available for hardship cases.
