Many of the parishes in the diocese hold festivals or celebrations throughout the summer months. Consider bringing your family to one of these festivals to support our local parishes. Please check the parish’s website for more detailed information as it gets closer to the event.

St. Peter, Gunnison
St. Peter’s outdoor Mass in
Gunnison, for the feast of St. Peter
Sunday, June 26
Mass starts at 10:30am.  Bishop Berg will officiate at the Mass and celebrate with the parishioners
afterwards. The Fiesta will have
music and feature multi-cultural tables set up with food, for a small fee. St. Peter and Fr. Andres would love for everyone in the Diocese of Pueblo to join their celebration


Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish in La Junta
97th annual Catholic Bazaar
Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9, from 4 to 11 p.m. each evening.

Enjoy funnel cakes, chili burgers, hot dogs, and the best Mexican food in the valley!  Bingo and games for all ages.  Music Friday night by DJ Tommy Valencia.  Saturday night features the crowning of our parish’s royalty and music by “Behind the Scenes” band.

Sunday, July 17: Noon-11p.m. with 10 a.m. bilingual Mass followed by traditional procession with Our Lady through the Grove
Great American, Italian, and Mexican food, raffles, bingo, games, and more…royalty and music by “Behind the Scenes” band.

Continuous entertainment, featuring bands, dancers, singers and performers. Gypsy and Father Tomas Show! Hamburgers, Mexican food, concessions, wine, drinks and spirits, Fun Zone, Bingo, silent auction, Italian cookies, cake walk, corn dogs, french and chilly fries, corn on the cob, The Sugar Shack trailer, dunk tank, kielbasa and hot dogs, Italian sausage/horseshoe tournament, the Blessing of Bikers, Blessing of the Animals and Pets, and more...

Saturday parade at 10 a.m., followed by park events; dance with Quarenta y Cinco at 8 p.m.-12 a.m. at Sky Ute Event Center, Royalty will be crowned at 10 p.m. 

On Sunday we will celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m., St. Ignatius Church, followed by dinner, music, bazaar, Bingo for fun and annual raffle.

St. Joseph’s Annual Festival

This joyful yearly event brings our parish community together in hard work and friendship, with a common goal:  to raise funds to continue our parish ministries which promote the Good News.
Softball tournament begins at 8 a.m. each day with food available for purchase.

August 6:

6-8 p.m. - Barn Burners
8-10 p.m. - Latin Thunder

We will also have Mexican food, meatball and klobasi sandwiches, games for the kids, and a horseshoe tournament.

St. Joseph Parish, Capulin
Annual Parish Fiesta
Begins Monday, August 8 and continues nightly with Mass, a reflection on the theme and light refreshments at a different mission church.  This year’s theme is “Mary, Our Mother of Mercy.”

The concluding weekend in La Jara (August 13 & 14) will feature a raffle, silent auction, food, entertainment, vendors and kids’ activities. Call the parish for more information.
