The Catholic Foundation awards grants for 2016

By Steven Chargin, Exec. Director
The Catholic Foundation is pleased to announce its grant awards for 2016. This year, 36 organizations and Catholic schools received a total of $94,300 in grant awards.

The awards covered a wide range of parish and mission programs, with special emphasis on helping youth throughout the diocese. In addition, 10 organizations received just over $20,000 in direct assistance from the Msgr. Delaney Humanitarian Fund. The Humanitarian Fund has been in place for just over a year now, but it has truly expanded the Catholic Foundation’s outreach. What a blessing it has been to welcome new grant recipients. The Catholic Foundation is so grateful for those faithful donors who make our grants program possible. We are proud to say that approximately 98 percent of all donations from our appeals during the year were used directly for grants.
