Safe Environment Training Programs

As directed by the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, training opportunities for adults, youth, and children in creating and maintaining a safe environment in our programs, parishes, and catholic schools are listed below.

For Children and Young People

Circle of Grace is a safe environment program developed by the Archdiocese of Omaha in response to Article 12 of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. It serves the dual purpose of educating and forming youth about the value of positive relationships with God and others.  This curriculum includes information on teaching children how to be safe, protect themselves, and communicate any potential danger of physical, emotional, psychological or sexual abuse.

Parents are welcome to review the curricula by calling their parish office to obtain a copy for their child's grade level.

For Adults

CMG Connect in an online training program for Adult Volunteers, Clergy, and Employees.  Completing the safe environment program is easy and can be done in the comfort of your own home through CMG Connect.  Please note there are three lessons and three quizzes. You must complete all three with a passing score to receive a training certificate.  If you do not have internet access or need assistance, please schedule a time with your Local Coordinator to complete your training.
