St. John Neumann students soar at Brain Bowl tournament

St. John Neumann Catholic School’s 6th Grade Brain Bowl Team competed in the Optimists Annual Brain Bowl. On February 7, 2015 they participated in the Regional Brain Bowl tournament held at Horizon Middle School in Colorado Springs. They placed 2nd overall earning a spot in the state tournament at Hamilton Middle School in Denver on March 21. There, they placed 5th out of the 18 championship teams that competed. Over 80 middle school teams throughout Colorado and Wyoming participated in the Optimist Brain Bowl with St. John Neumann as the only Catholic School to compete. They did an outstanding job against middle schools with 300 kids in their 6th grade classes. They competed against schools from Boulder, Denver, Aspen and Colorado Springs.
